Natural Healing: Blue Sage Antibiotic Tea for Pain Relief and Infection - Garden Medicine

Natural Healing: Blue Sage Antibiotic Tea for Pain Relief and Infection

A gentle yet powerful herbal remedy from my garden to yours

As someone deeply committed to natural healing, I've transformed my approach to wellness through plant-based remedies. My journey has taught me the importance of sourcing herbs directly from nature or trusted apothecaries, steering clear of processed supplements. As I often say: if it's in a capsule, it's CRAP!

Currently managing a mild infection, I'm sharing my trusted Blue Sage Tea recipe - a remedy I consistently turn to for its remarkable healing properties.

Why This Tea Works

This carefully crafted blend combines powerful natural ingredients that work in harmony to provide relief. Blue Sage serves as the cornerstone, offering antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory benefits while promoting a sense of calm. When paired with warming cinnamon, immune-supporting Blewit mushrooms, and gentle California Poppy, it creates a therapeutic brew that both soothes and heals.

Important Note: While herbal remedies can be incredibly effective, they're not suitable for everyone. Please consult with healthcare professionals before replacing any prescribed medications with natural alternatives.

The Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3-4 fresh Blue Sage leaves
  • 2 teaspoons ground Cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon dried Blewit mushrooms
  • 3 teaspoons California Poppy

Equipment

  • Kettle or pot for boiling water
  • Tea cup
  • Tea infuser or disposable tea bags

Instructions

  1. Bring fresh water to a boil in your kettle or pot.

  2. Combine the Blewit mushrooms, California Poppy, and cinnamon in your tea infuser or tea bag.

  3. Place the prepared infuser and 2-3 fresh Blue Sage leaves in your cup.

  4. Pour boiling water over the herbs and allow to steep for at least 10 minutes.

Dosage and Usage

For acute conditions: Drink 3-5 cups daily until symptoms subside.
For maintenance: Prepare with just one sage leaf for a gentler daily tonic.

NOTE: You can re-seep the same bag and leaves twice before disposing back to nature.

The Benefits Breakdown

Each ingredient in this blend has been chosen for its specific healing properties:

Blue Sage: Acts as a natural antibiotic and anti-inflammatory while providing calming effects.

Cinnamon: Contains cinnamaldehyde, which fights pathogens and reduces inflammation while supporting cognitive function.

Blewit Mushrooms: Offer antimicrobial and adaptogenic properties, helping your body manage stress and inflammation.

California Poppy: Provides gentle pain relief and antibacterial properties without causing drowsiness.

My Motto: If it's in a Capsule, It's CRAP! Growing your own herbs or sourcing them from reputable apothecaries ensures the highest quality ingredients for your healing journey. Remember, the power of natural healing lies in using whole, unprocessed plants as nature intended.

Rewriting the Dark: Hekate in the Age of Comfort | From Blood to Bouquets: Hekate's Image in Modern Witchcraft

Recently, I mentioned a Facebook group post I had come across in which a young “witch” was expressing her concern for her friend using naughty baneful Magick. And so, naturally, she needed to know how to tattle-tale to the great Hekate, in hopes this peaceful Deity would punish her for her wicked ways. Come the fuck on. There are many Gods and Goddesses who are systematically being transformed into fluff bunnies. However, poor Hekate seems to be the most utilized victim of this injustice. And she is taking a huge hit in the reputation department to pander to this new wave of “baby witches” who seem to need weighted blankets and someone to hold their hand to simply wake up in the morning. Hekate is not a nature Goddess of safe darkness and theatrical dark romance. The true history of Hekate is far from the sanitized, benevolent image presented by many in contemporary spiritual circles. She was not a gentle guide or maternal protector, but a formidable and feared deity associated...

The Wicked and Weird History of the Apple 🍎 31 Days of Halloween History

Throughout October I will be sharing a daily post that highlights the real history of Halloween/Samhain. These will correlate with my short videos I am posting across my social media accounts. You can follow me on  Youtube,   Instagram , and  Facebook  to view them!  The Sinister Sweetness of Halloween Apples: From Romance to Razor Blades Before cellophane-wrapped candy bars became the undisputed kings of the trick-or-treat bag, the humble apple held a curious, often perplexing, reign over Halloween. Its history with the holiday is a winding path from ancient fertility rites to a symbol of modern parental paranoia, embodying both wholesome tradition and chilling urban legend. The apple's journey through Halloween's lore is a fascinating glimpse into how cultural fears and customs evolve, transforming a simple fruit into a repository of our deepest anxieties. The apple's initial connection to this autumnal celebration is rooted in ancient traditions. It entwined ...
