Blow Cinnamon Through Your Front Door for Luck and Prosperity!

Cinnamon Magick: A Monthly Prosperity Ritual

It's April 1st! While I have no trick for you, I do have a helpful ritual. Among the most accessible yet powerful money-drawing and prosperity rituals in modern witchcraft is the practice of blowing cinnamon through your front door on the first day of each month. This simple but potent work harnesses the ancient properties of cinnamon, long revered for its ability to attract abundance, success, and prosperity.

The Ritual

To perform this monthly prosperity working, you'll need:

  • Ground cinnamon (organic preferred)
  • Clear intent
  • The first day of the month
  • Your front door

Timing

While this ritual can be performed at any time on the first of the month, many practitioners prefer to work with the rising sun, as this energy aligns with growth and new beginnings. Others choose to work during the waxing moon phase for added manifestation power.

The Process

  1. Begin by grounding and centering yourself
  2. Hold the ground cinnamon in your dominant hand
  3. Set your specific intention for prosperity
  4. Open your front door, standing inside your home
  5. Take a small pinch of cinnamon
  6. While focusing on your intention, blow the cinnamon through your doorway
  7. Visualize your home filling with golden light of abundance

Additional Magickal Considerations

  • Incorporate corresponding crystals like citrine or green aventurine
  • Light gold or green candles
  • Chant a personal prosperity affirmation
  • Draw prosperity sigils in the cinnamon before blowing

Important Notes

  • Always perform this ritual with respect and clear intention
  • Clean up any cinnamon that remains indoors
  • Remember that magickal workings are most effective when paired with practical action
  • Some practitioners enhance the spell by repeating it for three consecutive months

This ritual combines the elemental forces of air (blowing) and earth (cinnamon), creating a powerful vehicle for manifestation. The doorway serves as a literal and metaphorical portal for welcoming abundance into your life.

Remember, as with all magickal workings, the key lies in your intention and belief in the process. This simple yet effective ritual has become a cornerstone practice for many modern witches seeking to enhance their prosperity work.

Rewriting the Dark: Hekate in the Age of Comfort | From Blood to Bouquets: Hekate's Image in Modern Witchcraft

Recently, I mentioned a Facebook group post I had come across in which a young “witch” was expressing her concern for her friend using naughty baneful Magick. And so, naturally, she needed to know how to tattle-tale to the great Hekate, in hopes this peaceful Deity would punish her for her wicked ways. Come the fuck on. There are many Gods and Goddesses who are systematically being transformed into fluff bunnies. However, poor Hekate seems to be the most utilized victim of this injustice. And she is taking a huge hit in the reputation department to pander to this new wave of “baby witches” who seem to need weighted blankets and someone to hold their hand to simply wake up in the morning. Hekate is not a nature Goddess of safe darkness and theatrical dark romance. The true history of Hekate is far from the sanitized, benevolent image presented by many in contemporary spiritual circles. She was not a gentle guide or maternal protector, but a formidable and feared deity associated...
